M.Kumarasamy College of Engineering established in the year 2000 by M.Kumarasamy Health and Educational Trust with a vision to provide technical education for all sections of the society has made rapid strides on all fronts to achieve academic excellence in a short span of time.
The college has earned a remarkable position in the field of technical education through the untiring efforts of the visionary management, competent faculty members and stupendous students.
The institution with its state of the art facilities and dedicated team of faculty members has become a hub of technocrats and is marching towards new frontiers.
The consistently good academic performance of the students coupled with excellent placement record portrays the quality of education being provided in the college.

ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL
Department of Civil Engineering has been established in the year of 2009 with total intake of 60 students and now it is 120 students per year, consists of 6 full-furnished laboratories. Our department aims to be a center of excellence in Civil Engineering education through full-fledged learning experience along with research, imparting social ethics and leadership qualities.
MISSION
To create, disseminate and integrate knowledge of engineering, science and technology that expands our civil and environmental engineering knowledge base, which in turn enables the betterment of human society.
VISION
The department vision is to continue to achieve national and international recognition through the impact of its research and alumni in three core areas: advanced infrastructure systems; mechanics, materials and computing; environmental engineering, science, and sustainability. Our vision includes our department being a collegial, collaborative and welcoming environment in which to learn and work.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVE:
The goal of the Department of Civil Engineering is to provide its students with a well balanced, high quality education in four principal areas of civil engineering: environmental, geotechnical, structural, and transportation engineering that will permit them to practice civil engineering at a professional level, that will prepare them for graduate study, that will promote life long learning and continuing professional development and that will provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to develop into active contributors to the economic and social vitality of the region.
